Prices quoted online include the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve where required and disposal of the old casing. Nothing extra appears at the counter. Choose your tyres and fitting together, arrive at the time you booked, and you are back on the road with proper confidence in what is holding your car to it.

Buy tyres with fitting included

Four steps, a few minutes:

  • Enter your registration, or find your tyre size from the sidewall markings

  • Compare tyres that fit your vehicle by price, brand and EU label ratings for fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise

  • Choose your local centre and a slot that works around you

  • Pay online or on the day, with Klarna and other finance options available

If a trip to the garage is difficult, mobile tyre fitting covers selected areas and brings the equipment to your home or workplace.

What happens when your tyres are fitted

Good fitting is a process, not a quick swap. Wheels come off the car and go on the machine, the old tyre is broken from the bead and removed, and the rim is inspected for damage or corrosion before anything new goes near it. A fresh valve or TPMS service kit goes on, the new tyre is mounted, seated and inflated to the manufacturer's recommended pressure, then dynamically balanced with weights to eliminate vibration at speed.

Wheels are refitted in a star pattern and torqued to specification, never rattled on with an impact gun and hoped for the best. Locking wheel nuts need their key, so keep yours in the car. Most single fits take around 20 minutes.

Tyres for every vehicle

Load index, speed rating and fitment all matter, so our range is organised around what you drive:

Budget tyres suit lower-mileage drivers, mid-range tyres balance cost against longevity, and premium tyres tend to repay the outlay on motorway miles or more powerful cars. Our teams explain the trade-offs rather than steering you up the range.

Leading tyre brands

Every tyre we fit comes from a recognised manufacturer. That includes Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli, Continental, Bridgestone, Toyo and Hankook, alongside Falken, Dunlop and Sumitomo, part of the Sumitomo Rubber Industries group that owns Protyre. Value brands such as Davanti and Laufenn offer a sensible entry point when budget is the deciding factor.

Certain fitments pass through our centres constantly, among them 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 195/65 R15. We publish tyre guidance for common models too, from the Nissan Qashqai and Vauxhall Corsa to the BMW i3.

How you drive counts as much as what you drive. A van on multi-drop deliveries, a family car towing a caravan each summer and a short rural commute all wear tyres differently. Tell the team the full picture and the recommendation will reflect it.

Why choose Protyre for tyre fitting

A quick word on timing. Tyres are legal down to 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread, though wet braking performance falls away well before that, which is why many manufacturers suggest replacing at around 3mm. Bulges, cracking, exposed cords or sidewall damage mean a tyre needs replacing whatever the tread depth reads.

Frequently asked tyre fitting questions

Allow around 20 minutes for a single fit and 45 minutes to an hour for a full set, including balancing. Booking a slot online means the tyres are ready and a bay is reserved, so waiting time is kept to a minimum. Combining the visit with an MOT or service is usually possible.

Tyre fitting price is built into the tyre price you see online, covering mounting, balancing, a new valve where required and disposal of the old tyre. TPMS service kits, locking nut removal or specialist wheel work may carry an additional charge, and the team will confirm any of that before work begins.

Enter your postcode into our garage finder to see nearby centres with opening hours, services and live appointment availability. Cheap tyre fitting is worth checking carefully, as a low headline figure often excludes balancing, valves or disposal. Our pricing includes all three.

Not necessarily. Tyres should be replaced in pairs across an axle wherever possible, with the newer pair fitted to the rear for stability. A single replacement can be acceptable if the matching tyre has similar tread depth and the same size, construction and speed rating.

Mobile tyre fitting operates in selected areas, with a fully equipped van arriving at your home or workplace. Coverage varies by postcode, so check availability when you book. Where mobile fitting is not offered, your nearest centre can usually fit tyres the same day if stock allows.
