Pirelli is a long-established, highly-recognisable brand and produces in excess of 70 million tyres each year for cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, and bicycles. Pirelli has production facilities across the globe, and its tyres are available at over 170,000 outlets in more than 150 countries. Much of Pirelli's recognition is down to their long-standing involvement in elite motorsports, particularly F1. Pirelli is the current exclusive supplier of tyres for the Formula One World Championship, a partnership that began in 2010. All of Pirelli's products undergo significant testing in various conditions (inside and out) before being authorised for mass-production. This ensures that only the best-performing and highest-quality tyres make it to the road/racetrack. Some of the features and technologies that Pirelli have developed for its racing tyres are now being used across all its car tyres. The Cinturato P7 is a good example of this.
