Avon is an established name in the tyre business, with the company dating back to the early 20th century and the pioneering days of motoring. It’s tyres are well proven both on the road and the race track and are available for a wide range of vehicles including cars, vans and 4x4s. With the latest Avon ZV7, the firm has produced a premium tyre for cars that offers a number of benefits in grip, handling and braking. The design also incorporates the latest in tyre technology and features.
The Avon ZV7 is designed to provide wet weather safety thanks to large grooves around the circumference of the tyre which clear water quickly and minimise the risk of aquaplaning in wet conditions. At the same time, it is able to deliver a quieter driving experience thanks to tread blocks that are sequenced. This enables it to reduce road noise and makes for a more pleasant environment for driver and passengers, however long the journey.
The ZV7 also features a clever sipe design with three-dimensional points that interlock with each other. This helps the tyre to warm up quickly but at the same time ensures controlled heat generation in order to keep the tread blocks stable on dry roads while clearing water effectively in wet weather conditions.
Thanks to its use of the latest polymer technology along with advanced mixing techniques, the Avon ZV7 has a compound that offers excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions while also reducing rolling resistance to offer good fuel economy for high mileage drivers. The tyres have good wear resistance too, so should offer long life and good value for money. The ZV7’s design includes a flange protector to help protect your alloy wheels from damage by kerbing too.
The ZV7 is available in a range of sizes so it’s suitable for a variety of different cars including some high-performance models from Audi, BMW, Jaguar and more. You can search the Protyre website using your vehicle registration number - or your tyre size if you know it - to see if this tyre is available to fit your car. If it isn’t, or if you’d prefer something different, we stock a variety of other well-known tyre brands including Falken, Sumitomo and Bridgestone so we’re sure to have something to suit both your vehicle and your budget. All of our prices include fitting, balancing and disposal of your old tyres, so there are no nasty surprises when you come to pay either.
