Does my Rover need servicing?
If a yellow engine light appears permanently on the dashboard, it’s a sure sign that your Rover needs servicing. You may also have a service light that alerts you to the need to book your car in for a check-up.
Strange noises including squealing brakes and grinding gears can spell trouble, indicating that you need replacement brake pads or an oil top up. Smoke or steam from under the bonnet could be a sign of overheating. Blue exhaust smoke indicates that your car is burning oil and should be looked at immediately.
Reduced ride comfort or a sensation of vibrating or pulling when braking could be signs that you have a problem with your Rover’s suspension that need checking out.
The benefits of regular servicing for your Rover
Maintaining your Rover is the smart way to prolong its lifespan and reduce your motoring costs. If you’re tempted to skip a service because you’re on a tight budget, remember that fixing small problems as soon as they occur will save you money in the long run.
A car that is regularly serviced is not only more comfortable to drive but much safer. You’ll have the peace of mind knowing that your car is in tip-top shape and that you can drive with confidence knowing that it won’t let you down.
Maintaining a regular servicing schedule will also add value to your car when it comes to resale. If your vehicle is still under warranty, adhering to a servicing schedule will be part of the agreement.
