How do I join?
Simply purchase qualifying brake pads or brake shoes and your invoice will show a note highlighting you now have the lifetime replacement on the brake pads/brake shoes that have just been replaced. You will need to keep this invoice as a proof of purchase for when you next need the brake pads or brake shoes replaced.
When the brake pads/brake shoes next get down to their minimum required level (not before) then we will supply and fit the new brake pads or brake shoes completely free of charge. Minimum is classed as when the brake pads or brake shoes are worn to the vehicle manufactures replacement recommendation.
To maintain your lifetime replacement on brake pads or brake shoes, all brake work identified from vehicle checks needs to be carried out.
What if I want to come back and get the work done another time?
You will have 10 days after the work has been identified to return and still qualify for the Procare Lifetime Brakes scheme. During that period, you must not exceed a mileage of 250 miles as further damage may be incurred. Any longer/further than this and we would need to conduct another brake check evaluation.
By having your brakes checked every 10,000 miles (or immediately if the brakes start to sound or perform differently to normal) you will keep your braking system safe for your continued driving security.
What if I change cars?
If you change your car then the Procare Lifetime Brakes is carried over to your new vehicle. To apply for this you must come into the centre within 30 days of the purchase with the V5 or Bill of Sale to prove you are the new owner and have a Vehicle Safety Check, at which point a full report is completed and the vehicle details are updated on the system.
Once you have made us aware of your change of vehicle, we will carry out a free brake inspection. Should brake pads or brake shoes be required, these will be replaced free of charge, provided that they are covered by the Procare Lifetime Brakes replacement, and that any other braking component that requires attention is seen to.
What isn’t included?
The following exclusions apply to the scheme:
Brake wear indicator sensors or wires
Brake pads or brake shoes for ceramic brakes
Vehicles owned or leased by a company, driving school, contract hire, rental vehicles (including taxis) and vehicles used for commercial purposes, track days or competitive sports
The free replacement brake pads/brake shoes only apply to the front or rear sets that were originally changed. If both sets were changed it applies to both sets
The Lifetime Replacement is not transferable to another individual
