The National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) is an organisation which MTS enthusiastically supports, and we are delighted to reveal that Retail Director, Stan Watson has been appointed Junior Vice-National Chairman and an Executive Officer of the Association.
He was presented with his badge of office at a recent ceremony by NTDA National Chairman Martin O’Brien.
NTDA CEO Stefan Hay said he was delighted with the appointment:
"Stan is not only an individual who I value greatly, but also a representative of Protyre Autocare, part of the Micheldever group which is a significant and positive development for the Association.”
Having worked in the automotive industry for 12 years, Stan has delivered many positive changes since becoming Retail Director, with technology, training and sustainability being three areas which he has continuously aimed to improve along with having a world class customer service ethos within the Protyre Network
His relationship with the NTDA has also benefited the business, we have supported the organisation by taking part in various campaigns including the NTDA summer check campaign (in association with National Highways). Protyre have also been recognised within the NTDA over recent years having been awarded Retailer of the year for 3 years running.
Stan said he was thrilled to be appointed Junior Vice-National Chairman and looks forward to working towards a brighter future for the industry
“I’m passionate about the Tyre Industry and the important role our colleagues play into its success. As an industry we need to focus on our colleagues, their training, their wellbeing and their aspirational careers and recognise some of them will go on to be great leaders. We also need to shout more about our industry to those who take their first steps into employment and showcase why they would choose ours. We also have a shared responsibility towards a greener future for our industry too by embracing technology and keeping sustainability high on our priorities . We play an integral role at the NTDA in bringing the industry and colleagues together to ensure we do have a brighter future and I hope to share my knowledge and use my voice for us to move forward.”
Congratulations on the appointment Stan!
