Harking back to the so-called cafe racers of the 1960s. The Honda CM 400 T was the precursor to the legendary Honda Rebel bikes of the 70s and 80s.

Featuring a manageable but pokey 395 cc engine and an electronic starter, these nifty bikes were designed to be child’s play. Honda included some subtle nods to the US style cruiser bikes with the raised passenger seat, increased fork angles and of course plenty of luscious chrome.

Originally available in candy apple red and green with red and orange pinstripes, the Honda CM 400 T oozes old school style. It wasn’t without its innovations, however, with electronic ignition and the disk brakes that Honda had first introduced in the late 1960s. The front and back tyres weighed in at 3.50-18 and 4.60-16 respectively, mounted on sleek black five spoke rims.

Incredibly fuel efficient, the Honda CM 400 T featured a dual exhaust for better flow of engine emissions and a relatively small 10 litre fuel tank. With a kerbside weight of just 185kg the Honda CM 400 T can be a complete joy to ride.
