Protyre's free battery check

Protyre offers a free battery check to assess the condition of your battery. You can book a time and date that is convenient for you at your nearest or most convenient garage. All of our Protyre technicians are experienced and professionally trained.

The check itself involves voltage readings and testing both the resistance (impedance) and capacitance (conductance) of the battery. Additionally, the engineer will check for corrosion, dirt, leaks, spills, cracks, stiff oxidised cabling, frayed cable ends, and loose brackets or bolts. In lead-acid batteries, the levels of electrolyte and acidity will also be checked.
