The Volvo S60 is a cost-effective alternative to the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class and Jaguar XE. It comes with up to 184 kW power and a towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg. The two petrol editions, the Volvo S60 R-Design Plus T5 FWD AT and the Volvo S60 R-Design Edition T5 FWD AT have a maximum speed of more than 144 mph.
 
A police specification model of the Volvo S60 was produced alongside the original standard models, featuring an upgraded suspension, a larger battery and a more powerful alternator to serve the extra police equipment fitted to the car. Additional electrical features were also added to allow for other police equipment including, radios and CCTV.
 
The second generation Volvo S60 was produced in Belgium and featured an all-wheel drive system. Stop-start technology was introduced with later editions of this model, along with enhanced safety features. The third generation model first went on sale in October 2018.
 
Today’s Volvo S60 comes with smart car features such as in-car apps, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with all the usual navigation and functions on the built-in infotainment screen. The vehicle also boasts the latest safety features, such as driver support for steering, braking and accelerating called Pilot Assist, together with systems that can prevent or reduce the severity of collisions.
