About Aston Martin DBX
Aston Martin has confirmed that its upcoming luxury SUV will be called the DBX and it will take on the likes of the Range Rover Autobiography, Lamborghini Urus and the Bentley Bentayga. It is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019. It has a traditional four-door SUV layout and although the price has not been announced yet, it is expected to be priced at around the same level as its rivals mentioned above, somewhere in the £140,000 range
The engine is expected to be the M177 engine sourced from AMG that is used in the DB11 V8 and Vantage. It is also expected that the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 will be on offer as well to cater for the demands of the Chinese and Middle Eastern markets.
The suspension technology is expected to feature 3-chamber air springs and an active anti-roll system. This will help offset the DBX’s weight and high centre of gravity.
