Is it still possible to have cheap tyres fitted whilst in lockdown?

By Julia Freeman

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, the vast majority of us are in lockdown and the current state of your Pirelli or Falken tyres is probably the last thing you’re thinking about. However, there are members of the public whose essential work means they’re still on the roads and still in need of good quality, cheap tyres to keep going.

Whilst we, at Protyre, are monitoring the current situation and amending our services according to updated government advice, we are continuing to provide key services to those currently in need of them. From the 1st of April, 26 of our smaller garages have been closed to best provide for the health and well-being of our staff. However, we have made the decision to keep a number of Protyre locations open as well as maintaining mobile tyre fitting services with our tyre professionals.

Here to help with mobile tyre fitting

Mobile tyre fitting is a highly convenient service that requires little effort on your part and will keep your vehicle safe during the ongoing situation. You can have the same quality choice of tyres and brands, all within affordable price ranges, with the same level of professional service you have come to expect from our qualified fitters – but all from the convenience of your own home.

If you contact our team online or through one of our local garages, our experienced fitters will come over to a location of your choice in one of our specialist vans, ready to change or repair your tyres. The mobile fitting option gives you the same service as you would expect at any of our local garages. There’s no compromise on quality or safety, but you get the full benefit of convenience and keeping yourself and your family safe.

How can I arrange for a mobile tyre fitter to come to me?

Simply pick a time, a date, and a location and we’ll come to you. Whether you need cheap tyres to get you back and forth between your home and your essential workplace, or you prefer premium brands such as Bridgestone, a time-consuming and potentially risky trip to a garage can be completely eliminated. It’s unnecessary when a simple call to our tyre professionals will bring us straight to your home.

Worry-free motoring

There might be so many other worries on your mind right now – about how your family is coping, the pressures of lockdown, or worries about budgeting on reduced wages. But compromising on the safety of your vehicle is incredibly dangerous. The last thing you need is to put yourself at risk on the road.

You can find out more on our website. Use the ‘Find my Protyre’ button below to find your nearest Protyre garage, or to explore our options for mobile tyre fitting. Take the time to search through our wide range of tyre options, designed for all vehicles and for all budgets. Our team is always available to help.
