24-hour mobile tyre fitting: the perfect solution to lockdown tyre issues

By Julia Freeman

The Coronavirus lockdown has meant that many people are using their cars far less than usual. But for some, they are essential for either getting to the shops or getting to/from work.

Protyre assistance van

Open. Safe. COVID secure.

For this reason, a number of our garages have been allowed to remain open in order to be able to meet the needs of emergency workers, teachers, care workers, and those providing other vital services. We feel proud to be able to help the nation at this time of crisis. The centres that remain open are able to carry out repairs, MOTs, safety checks, and tyre changes.

In addition to this, we are now also offering a 24-hour mobile tyre fitting service in some areas. This enables us to get to people who need our assistance but are unable to get to their local garage.

Our tyre professionals will come to you at a time to suit you and will assess any tyre damage before deciding if repair is possible or if replacement is the safer and most sensible option.

The benefits of Protyre’s mobile fitting

Accessibility

We appreciate that not all customers are in a position to get to their nearest garage. This is why we offer our mobile tyre fitting service. This makes it accessible to all.

Convenience

This service means that you can have your tyres changed at home or work at a time that suits you. We can even come to you should you find yourself stuck at the roadside with a tyre problem. The entire process can save hours of waiting plus a time-consuming trip to a suitable garage.

Help in an emergency

If tyre issues mean that you have to leave your car in a different place to normal, our mobile service can get to you wherever you may be! This may also save you having to pay for a recovery service. We will get you up-and-running as soon as we can.

Cost-effective

Mobile fitting means that you won’t have to take time off work or pay to have childcare while you take your car to a garage. This makes it surprisingly cost-effective.

Expertise

Our mobile tyre fitters are experienced, highly trained, and very knowledgeable. They will provide you with all the information you need and are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Improved safety

Mobile tyre fitting is cost-effective and convenient and for this reason, it will mean people are less likely to drive on tyres that may be damaged or need replacing. This, therefore, increases the frequency of tyre changes and improves safety.

What tyres are available?

At Protyre we stock a wide range of tyres in all of our centres. These include premium tyres from brands such as Pirelli, Bridgestone, and Goodyear as well as mid-range tyres from the likes of Sumitomo, Goodrich, and Roadstone. We also stock a range of budget tyres. With much of our range available for same day fitting, we can help keep you on the road when you need your car the most.

How to know when you need new tyres?
Your tyres are the only part of the car in contact with the road surface so play an enormous part in the safe running of your vehicle. Although many drivers believe they know intuitively when their tyres need replacing, this is always a dangerous assumption to make. Your tyres could develop a problem at any time and checking them monthly is essential.
